Portalvision launches Clinic Management Solutions

HONG KONG - 27 October 2009   Portalvision Limited is pleased to announce the official launch of its Clinic Management Solutions in view of the eHR project steered by the Hong Kong Government. Being part of the healthcare reform, the eHR sharing system allows healthcare providers to access to lifelong health records of individual patients for holistic care. This territory-wide project leads to enormous business opportunities for IT vendors to provide services to private healthcare providers in the form of technical support solutions or packages.

Portalvision has developed two Clinic Management Solutions, ClinicBox and CMS Portal, to cater for the special requirements of different providers in the existing healthcare industry. ClinicBox is an all-in-one, box solution with software and hardware bundled together; while CMS Portal is a hosted, on-demand solution which requires zero server hardware and software investment.

Both solutions comprise an open source Clinic Management System 3.0 (CMS 3.0) jointly implemented by Hong Kong Medical Association (HKMA) and Information and Software Industry Association (ISIA) which paves the way to use standardized data code to facilitate data exchange with the Hospital Authority and other medical information systems. Apart from the usual private routines such as appointment, waiting queue, consultation, prescription, pharmacy, and billing, it also acts as a multi-function platform for the private doctors to interconnect with other partners including private hospitals/clinics, radiology/laboratory, pharmaceutical companies, insurance companies, and government departments such as Department of Health and the eHealth Office for the ePR and the eHR exchange in the future.

In addition, both packages include a portal solution, Business Portal plus Enterprise Portal, to ride on the platform and core components of Portalvision. Business portal is a web platform facing customers, partners and investors for product showcase, press releases, e-commerce, and electronic service delivery. Enterprise portal is an intranet platform for employees and managers for collaboration, project management, services, and administration.
